About Us
Who are we? Well, I suppose you could say the three things team are the cool kids of Oxfam Australia. I’m pretty sure that if you held a mirror up to our faces the words ‘good looking’ would appear in a smooth, bold, font.
For those of you who have been sitting at the back of the class wondering what the hell everyone else is talking about, Oxfam Australia is an independent aid organisation set on making the world fairer and freer while ensuring the environment is preserved for one and all.
What we’re establishing, with this site and with our mag, is a channel through which you can communicate your ideas and see your world reflected in a bundle of colours and words. This is more about your vision than it is ours. If that sentence makes you feel lucky it’s because you are. Still, I have to level with you, there’s a catch.
We’ve been here for months, years even, getting older, a little wiser, (some of us are most of the way towards inventing a time machine that bears an uncanny resemblance to Whoopi Goldberg,) wondering how we can make our readers aware of the ways they can make a difference. We’ve been out asking you questions like, ‘What are three things you want for Christmas?’ then coming home and wondering how we can push this thing further.
It’s simpler than we first thought - all it takes is three things.
- We write three things – a humorous, hard hitting magazine for modern folk.
- You do us the favour of reading the articles (which will be easy because they’re awesome).
- We leave it up to you to say something yourself and act as you know you should.
